If you’ve followed me or my YouTube Channel for a while, then you’ll know that I’m nail obsessed and when I find a favourite product I will use it again and again.  I have a large number of Essie nail polishes, and my all time favourite nail colour is Essie’s Aruba Blue, however, I have found a few colours to require 3 coats which can be disappointing.  THAT WAS UNTIL NOW!  As the coverage was my only issue that I had with Essie polishes, I decided to do some swatch tests with these new collections using 1 and 2 coats and I was BLOWN AWAY!  All of the colours in this lovely package were completely opaque in 2 thin coats, and in actual fact, were very opaque in just one coat!  However, I have to say, that Essie’s Gel Couture polishes are out of this world.  They’re really raised the bar with these, from the beautiful creamy, rich opaque coverage, to the amazingly easy brush and ornate bottle design, these Essie Gel Couture polishes are a polish fan’s dream.  All of these Essie swatches have been finished with the Essie Gel Couture Top Coat.Essie Gel Couture Brush

In the “Pink Me Classic” Gel Couture Collection you have “At The Barre” which is a beautiful soft caramel nude and “Hold The Position” which I think is going to be an all time favourite with me as I’d describe it as ‘Ballet-Slipper Pink’.  In the swatches above I’ve applied both 1 coat and 2 coats then applied the Essie Gel Couture Top Coat so you can see just how amazing the coverage of these are.

The “Bright Here Bright Now” collection is a must have for summer! “Dress Call” is a perfect creamy lilac suitable for both warm and cool skin tones.  “The It-Factor” is a vibrant yet classy bold cerise/hot pink and “Rock The Runway’ is a traditionally classic orange-toned red for truly iconic Hollywood red carpet nails!

Again all of these polishes gave a perfect rich opaque coverage in 2 thin coats and I’ve finished these off with a slick of Essie Top Coat!

In the “Fuschsia Frenzy” collection are the fabulously intense “B’Aha Moment!” and “Designated DJ” (swatches above).  “B’Aha Moment!” is described as a ping pomegranate which is a pretty perfect description actually!  The colour personally reminds me of the bright summer flowers on tropic fabric prints.  “Designated DJ” is a stunningly ageless intense plum.

Essie Pink Nail Polish

In the “Tulle Tones” Collection we have the fabulously feminine “Excuse me, Sur” and “Backseat Besties” Both this collection and the Fuchsia Frenzy collection include colours that feature within Essie’s Spring 2017 collection which is themed on California and Summer road trips.  “Excuse Me, Sur” is a delectable and exquisite soft pastel peach/coral which I can see being hugely popular for the impended Wedding and Prom season!  “Backstreet Besties” is a playful lilac-toned pink which reminds me of sweeties!

Essie Professional Manicure Products

Essie Cuticle Peel Hand Cream

Available as a duo are the Essie Many Many Mani Intensive Hand Lotion and the Essie Apricot Cuticle Peel.  Now I’ve been using both of these for a little while now and I have to say that I am blown away particularly by the Essie Apricot Cuticle Peel!  Since I qualified as a professional nail technician 6 years ago, I have only ever used one cuticle removal product before I preferred going to a dry mani (i.e.: no cuticle remover).  However, on the first time I tried out the Essie Cuticle Peel I knew that it was something special.  It’s a professional product containing Potassium Hydroxide so it is crucial to follow the instructions, but when you do….”WOW”!!!  I haven’t been able to remove my cuticles this perfectly and effortlessly ever!  This is now a permanent addition to my nail kit.  If in doubt, try it out as I can guarantee that you won’t be disappointed!!
